Weekly Construction Update - Friday, February 6, 2026

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, February 9, through Friday, February 13, between 6:30 AM and 3 PM, lane closures and lane shifts will be in effect on the west side of U.S. 2/7 between NuHarbor Security and Rathe Road, and on the east side of U.S. 2/7 between the I-89 Exit 16 Northbound Off-ramp and Lower Mountain View Drive. Lane closures and shifts will also occur, potentially later in the week, on Upper Mountain View Drive near its intersection with U.S. 2/7.

Independent utility companies will periodically conduct utility work along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road, under lane closures.

Motorists should expect significant delays when traveling through the work zone and along adjacent roadways. Please plan ahead, leaving plenty of additional time to get to and from your destination. Whenever possible, consider alternative routes or other forms of transportation, such as carpooling, ridesharing, transit, biking, or walking. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and follow flaggers and road signs.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Next week, crews will continue hammering to remove ledge and shaping the grass swale on the west side of U.S. 2/7 between NuHarbor Security and the Park & Ride. Crews will also continue removing the retaining wall on U.S. 2/7 just south of Lower Mountain View Drive, with intermittent hammering to remove ledge. Later in the week, crews are expected to begin precast wall construction on Upper Mountain View Drive near the CVS Pharmacy.

Independent utility work will continue periodically along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road.
