TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, March 9, through Friday, March 13, between 6 AM and 3 PM, lane closures and lane shifts will be in effect on U.S. Routes 2/7 (U.S. 2/7) between the Interstate 89 (I-89) Exit 16 northbound off-ramp and Hercules Drive.
Independent utility companies will periodically conduct work along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road, under lane closures.
Motorists should expect significant delays when traveling through the work zone and along adjacent roadways. Please plan ahead, consider alternative routes, or use other forms of transportation (carpooling, ridesharing, transit, biking, or walking). Drivers should slow down, use caution, and follow flaggers and signage.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will widen the roadway on U.S. 2/7 between the I‑89 Exit 16 northbound off‑ramp and Mountain View Drive next week. They will also remove rock and install new drainage on U.S. 2/7 between Mountain View Drive and Hercules Drive. No blasting activities are scheduled for next week.
Independent utility work will continue periodically along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road.
