TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, February 2, through Friday, February 6, between 6:30 AM and 3 PM, lane closures and lane shifts will be in effect on the west side of U.S. 2/7 at Whitcomb Street and between NuHarbor Security and Rathe Road. There will also be lane closures and lane shifts on Lower Mountain View Drive and Upper Mountain View Drive near their intersection with U.S. Routes 2/7 (U.S. 2/7).
Independent utility companies will periodically be on-site conducting utility work along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road under lane closures.
Motorists should expect significant delays when traveling through the work zone and along adjacent roadways. Please plan ahead, leaving plenty of additional time to get to and from your destination. Whenever possible, consider alternative routes or other forms of transportation, such as carpooling, ridesharing, transit, biking, or walking. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and follow flaggers and road signs.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Next week, crews will conduct hammering to remove ledge on the west side of U.S. 2/7 at Whitcomb Street as well as on Upper Mountain View Drive near its intersection with U.S. 2/7. In addition, crews will remove the retaining wall on Lower Mountain View Drive near its intersection with U.S. 2/7, shape the grass swale on the west side of U.S. 2/7 in front of NuHarbor Security, and perform ditching work on the west side of U.S. 2/7 between the Park & Ride and Rathe Road.

Crews document utility lines as ledge removal and underdrain installation took place along Lower Mountain View Drive in Colchester, VT.
