SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: In observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays, crews will be off-site from today, December 23, at 3 PM through Monday, December 29, at 6 AM, and again from Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 3 PM through Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6 AM.
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: On Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30, between 6 AM and 3 PM, lane closures and shifts will be in effect on U.S. Route 2/7 (U.S. 2/7) between Mountain View Drive and Rathe Road and along Lower Mountain View Drive near its intersection with U.S. 2/7.
Independent utility companies will periodically be on-site conducting utility work along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road under lane closures.
Motorists should expect significant delays when traveling through the work zone and along adjacent roadways. Please plan ahead, leaving plenty of additional time to get to and from your destination. Whenever possible, consider alternate routes or other forms of transportation such as carpooling, ridesharing, transit, biking, or walking. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and follow flaggers and road signs.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will continue drainage work along U.S. 2/7 between Mountain View Drive and Rathe Road and on Lower Mountain View Drive near its intersection with U.S. 2/7.
Independent utility work will periodically take place along U.S. 2/7 between the Winooski town line and Sunderland Woods Road.
